We didn't have any set plan for our first day in Paris. We decided to go wander around the Gardens of Luxemburg. It is a huge park set in front of the Luxemburg Palace.
We took a river boat tour! There are several boat tours to choose from, and we went with Vedettes du Pont Neuf. It was fun to see the sights of Paris from the Seine.

We had fun just meandering around Paris and soaking in the culture.
Right before sunset we found a bridge with "love locks". Couples come to the bridge and etch or write their names on a padlock and through the key into the river...so romantic ;)
It was fun to see the variety of locks! There were thousands!
The views from the bridge were pretty cool with the stormy sky!
